About Chris Budge

Chris Budge is a reconsider computer forensic expert (24 years’ experience) and an investigator (44 years’ experience). After an initial career in the NZ Army as a Military Police Officer, he embarked on a career as a forensic computing expert in the NZ Police, Electronic Crime Laboratory. Having qualified on Police, overseas law enforcement courses and specialised forensic software course, he participated in a number of Police investigation culminating in a formal recognition award for work on a homicide.
Post Police, Chris has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and KPMG as leading their Computer Forensic teams and contributing to resolving many clients’ issues. He also spent two years as the Trust and Safety Manager at TradeME. A task orientated professional, Chris has a proven record of problem solving using highly developed technical and communication skills. He enjoys finding solutions to challenging and complex problems. He can support and advise in ways to move forward and make quality decisions. His ability to provide alternative and creative ways of managing risk has proven useful in a variety of environments. He is both customer and client focused when mediation and resolutions are paramount.
